OVERCROWDED BRT BUSES IN CITY TRAFFIC
Anyone who has boarded BRT buses in Lagos would bear witness to this report of overcrowded BRT buses plying Lagos roads. Regardless of the fact that BRT buses are provided with hand rails for standing passengers, it still makes no difference when compared with the MOLUEs which the BRTs came to replace. It is very well known that overcrowding creates room for pickpocketing and other inconveniences that remind commuters of the days of the MOLUE. Again in the event of a crash, overcrowded buses record more casualties. This must not be ruled out.

The BRT is a wonderful innovation in city transport that must not be abused. Overcrowding is a form of abuse.
